Boulder Opal Jewelry

I recently acquired some spectacular boulder opal from Kevin & JoAnne Dowdy.
The Dowdys travel to Australia every year to find very good duality boulder opal.
Kevin then cuts the rough making some of the best and most beautiful opal cabochons I have ever seen.
Currently I am working to design settings that will emphasize nature's beauty in the opal.

"At the Bottom of the Sea." Pendant This opal resembles an undersea vent. The stone is set in a 22k bezel with 18k gold "bubbles" rising from it.
